本人留意到香港的個人用品多數來自馬來西亞, 印尼, 泰國和中國.包括洗髮護髮用品, 牙膏, 護膚品和和潤膚露等.
提及牙膏...點解香港人的牙齒比較黃呢? 除了沒有定期檢查牙齒以外, 或者可能是與牙膏本身有關--在香港旅遊的兩星期, 用了香港的Colgate牙膏覺得用料比美國的Colgate較稀.

貓糧平均美國的比香港的便宜

今次返香港觀察過貓糧, 貓零食的價格. 平均香港的比美國的貴三成至七成.
貨源多數來自美國及加拿大. 其實貓砂還要便宜, 不過重量太重, 不便帶回香港.
所有竉物產品需要加消售稅(+8.25%tax). 包括稅收在內, 大部份的貓粴糧仍然比香港抵買.
由於美國的貓糧, 貓零食的牌子和款式有很多(包括香港有售的whiskas, Friskies...), 未能詳述.

國泰747坐位設計(Cathay Pacific's new economy class seats)--美觀但不舒適

從香港回三藩市坐的國泰747-400﹐所有坐位全新設計--包括頭等﹐商務和經濟--但我們坐經濟﹐所以只對經濟客位有意見。

上機時﹐一看到就有意外的開心。最初以為只有商務客位才有新坐位。直至行到自己位(66H,K)才知道經濟客位也是新設計。最明顯的是在椅背(即我們前面)的新款wide screen螢光幕。遙控器現在放在螢光幕下面﹐不再需要像坐舊款椅時要弄在椅左右的遙控器﹐以前真是弄到手頸和肩膀都痛了。此外TV/Movie的新system有了所有節目的資料﹐不再需要找飛機雜誌才知道哪一台做什麼節目。
可惜的是雖然螢光幕設計好﹐坐位其他的設計就有點問題。其一是沒有了椅後以前用來放離物的網(或袋)。現在的網袋放在自己椅的下面﹐非常不方便﹐而且細小得很。除了飛機本身的雜誌以外﹐什麼都放不到。
第二是沒有是腳踏。習慣了亞洲航空公司的飛機有腳踏﹐現在沒有了﹐覺得欠缺了什麼。

另外﹐椅也是新設計。以前的椅﹐睡覺時椅背放下大約30度﹐影響到後面的乘客﹐所以食餐時要將椅放回原位。新的設計是"正"椅(圖的1)中有張能移動的椅墊(圖的2)--睡覺時椅墊會自動放下和向前動﹐但"正"椅不動﹐影響不到後面的乘客。但那椅墊非常不舒適。而且因為椅墊向前移動了﹐腳和前椅的空間少了--用睡覺的姿勢看電影會坐得很近螢光幕﹐更加不舒適。


如果有選擇﹐當然是有新螢光幕好。但要用比較舒適的舊椅設計做代價﹐如要坐長程機﹐我們寧願要舊款的椅和舊款的螢光幕。

鄧竟成竟然有派手下回覆投訴email

前幾天email鄧竟成投訴他對法律的不理解﹐居然有人回覆﹐是一個商業罪案調查科科技罪案組的Senior Inspector(即黃福全所稱19個科技罪案組同事其中之一)。無論怎樣﹐收到回覆總有少少滿足感。希望將來收到一個更滿意的回覆。

趙頌茹假相是要挑戰警方還是警方用來自圓其說的最佳禮物﹖

昨日網上出現一張樣似藝人趙頌茹的不雅照。據稱趙頌茹兩三年前經已看過﹔大多人認為相片虛假﹐而筆者意見亦與大部份人意見相同。

趙照一出現﹐大報張和警方第一反應便是有人要挑戰警方和法律。但究竟上載疑似趙不雅照的人是要挑戰警方還是要幫警方一大助呢﹖表面上警方必須指責上載者﹐但私底下是不是暗自歡喜有人自動獻身幫助警方自圓其說﹖

記得警方在事件第一天曝光時﹐聲稱陳鍾淫照為移花接木。在陳冠希道歉後﹐再也難令人相信陳鍾淫照是假的。即使將來警方電腦鑑證人員證實照片為移花接木而成﹐相信同意那報告的大眾會是少之又少--因為現在警方所有行為和可信性已極度被大眾質疑。

繼趙相的出現﹐大眾覺得自己"發現"了新證據。因為是自己"發現"﹐證據的可信性較有力--下意識覺得陳鍾淫照也可能會是假的。雖然有些人肯定陳鍾淫照是真的--這些人的結論不會因此而被動搖﹔但坐在牆上的很可能會改變決定。最終警方什麼也不用做也能令部份公眾認為警方最初移花接木之言是正確的。對於警方來說﹐趙相有益無害﹐因為現在警方做什麼只會是做多錯多。趙假相真是警方夢寐以求的最佳新年禮物。

Singapore Airport (Changi Airport)

Once we stepped off the plane into Changi Airport, the plush carpet was the first thing we noticed. What soft carpet. What comfort. Wow. The government/airport sure knows how to make a good first impression. Everything in the Changi Airport scream new and clean - elevator, toilets, luggage claim, carts, art, waterfalls, customer service counters, self-help computer systems...

When you arrive at or depart from certain airports, have you ever noticed the candies at the immigration counter? (Of course, this does not apply to US international airports, which try their best to repel and irritate tourists.) Ever noticed the packaging? Chances are, these candies are not sold anywhere else. Very good souvenirs. And free too.What looks like a recently renovated interior - lots of lights, lots of green plants. Most importantly, spotlessly clean.The toilets - nothing short of 5-star-hotel luxury.

相信這記念品在街上是買不到的.....哈~哈~另外, 新加坡機場的裝修蠻新, 光線充足, 環境乾淨.尤其男女水洗手間, 彷彿走進一間高級酒店的洗手間啊~

Singapore Food - Roti Prata

There are many Arab "pancake" stores.Pancakes are in three major categories: Roti Prata, Roti Telur (with eggs), Roti Bawang Telur (with eggs and onions). They usually do not contain other ingredients; to eat the pancakes, dip them directly into curry or sugar.
Other than pancakes, you should try the curry, chicken or mutton, and the tea/coffee. We especially recommend the tea and the coffee - both taste uniquely good.

There were no menu at the restaurant where we ate. The bill was higher than we expected but still reasonable.

新加坡飲食-印度拉餅

在小亞拉伯區有很多印度拉餅舖。印度拉餅大約分為三種: Roti Prata, 加蛋的Roti Telur, 加蛋和洋蔥的Roti Bawang Telur
拉餅通常不加入何餡料, 直接沾咖哩或白糖來吃。除了拉餅, 還有咖哩烤雞或羊肉和咖啡奶茶等。
當時因為無餐牌, 埋單時的價錢比想像中貴, 但合理不過份。

Chicken Rice is a famous local cuisine in Singapore. During our trip, we tried the dish in two budget Chicken Rice stalls.

Boon Tong Kee Pte Ltd Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken RiceComparing the taste and texture of the chicken meat and chicken rice, Tian Tian is better. Also, the Tian Tian portion was larger.

On the other hand, the presentation at Boon Tong Kee is better, with the rice presented as a pyramid; it's chicken was skinless and the hot sauce was very hot. If you need chicken thigh, you have to add S$1; add S$1 for three cubes of fried tofu
