Ferrero Rondnoir - not as good as Ferrero Rocher

Around December 2007, we saw a new Ferrero product - Ferrero Rondnoir - on a Walgreens ad (12-piece box for $1.99). Since we love Ferrero Rocher, we were eager to try the new product. We went to about 5 Walgreens in the area and could not find any in stock - so we asked for rain-checks at two of the stores.

A next weeks later, we went back to one of the Walgreens and found one box (only one box was left). After taking picture of this much sought-after item, we tried one.
Ferrero Rondnoir, a dark chocolate treat, is better-looking than the Rocher but the taste is rather disappointing - nothing special. There is no nut in the middle; instead, there is a dark chocolate ball, which is mostly a bitter mass with little other taste. In fact, both of us got a little sore throat after eating the Rondnoir.

Overall, the Ferrero Rocher is a much better choice, especially for those who prefer a sweeter chocolate product.
